The whole thing, in fifteen seconds
- 15weeks, online
- 3Modules → Problem · Insight · Solution / Deep Domain Expertise / Future Vision
- 2live sessions a week → a craft session and a coaching session
- 1Roundtable → senior industry feedback, at the two-thirds mark
- ∞a T-shaped, AI-forward portfolio you keep, and a plan for what's next
One discrete, self-contained, online-only course → not a hybrid, not an AI bootcamp, not a spin-off. The real Berghs Advanced, for people who can't come to Stockholm but still want the real thing.
Built on a proven Berghs Advanced spirit
Faithful where it counts. Changed only where Stockholm couldn't follow online.
The case isn't "here's something new." It's "here's Berghs Advanced, kept faithful where faithfulness matters." The one change worth flagging → in Stockholm the cohort tours agencies (Industry Visits). Online, we invert it → the Roundtable brings the industry in, conversationally, focused on the work.
| Berghs Advanced | In Stockholm | Online | Kept / changed |
|---|---|---|---|
| The three Modules | Problem · Insight · Solution / Deep Domain Expertise / Future Vision | Identical | kept |
| Portfolio Coaching | Weekly, the core | Weekly, same coach | kept |
| Action-based learning | Do creativity to learn creativity | Every week ships a milestone | kept |
| The promise | The portfolio to go where you want to go | Identical, AI-forward layer added | kept |
| Industry contact | Industry Visits → the cohort tours agencies | The Roundtable → industry comes to the cohort | changed |
| Format | Near-daily, co-located | Two live sessions a week, online | changed |
| The pilgrimage | The Stockholm adventure | Deliberately absent → for those happy where they are | changed |
Faithful where the value is structural. Changed only where Stockholm physicality made the original untranslatable. Nothing changed for novelty.
The person this reaches
Picture a mid-thirties creative the AI restructuring cut loose.
Eight years up through a global network agency, now reluctantly freelancing. Real talent, no story → a year of contract work nobody can see, watching thinner-but-better-presented portfolios get the calls. She doesn't want Stockholm. She doesn't need AI tools training. She needs her portfolio to prove what she can do now, and someone senior who'll tell her the truth. That's the heart of it → and there are a lot of her right now.
- Also for → the excellent creative happy where they live who just needs the work together; the capable freelancer drifting without structure; the international who wants Berghs feedback but can't relocate.
- Not for → the person who wants the Stockholm adventure as much as the portfolio. That's the in-person course, and we send them there happily.
A portfolio system, not a single course
It doesn't cannibalise anything. It completes the ladder.
Berghs Advanced Online doesn't compete with what Berghs already runs → it completes it. It doesn't cannibalise the Stockholm course (that buyer wants the pilgrimage; this one's happy at home). It's too hands-on and creative to overlap with AI Lead. And it's a different product from AI for Marketing Professionals → an eight-week AI-tools intro, where this is fifteen weeks of creative and strategic depth.
| Berghs offer | What it's for |
|---|---|
| IRL Advanced (Stockholm) | The portfolio + the Scandinavian pilgrimage |
| Berghs Advanced Online | The portfolio, location-independent → creative + strategic depth |
| AI Lead | Leading AI change in an organisation |
| AI for Marketing Professionals | Practical AI tools for marketers (8 wks, intro) |
| Short / on-demand courses | One specific skill, flexible |
Externally, nobody else can put the Berghs name on an online portfolio course of this depth. Internally, it reaches a buyer the in-person course physically can't → many times more than will ever relocate → roughly fifteen for every one who moves to Stockholm, because relocating your life is the rare choice. The constraint was never delivery. It's selling → and this widens who we can sell to.
Fifteen weeks, one shape
Three Modules. A small rise through Module 1, then the Roundtable at the two-thirds mark → the first crescendo that pulls the cohort through the middle. It dips and flattens through Module 3, then kicks up to its peak at the Week 15 launch. Three named weeks where we deliberately leave the cohort alone, because that's when the work gets built.
The fifteen weeks, in full
A real, structured course → milestone by milestone.

The week, hour by hour
| Day | What happens |
|---|---|
| Monday | Module session → cohort-wide teaching and critique with the Module Lead or a guest. Where the craft and the Crossroads values discussions live. |
| Tuesday | A work day → no live session; the cohort gets on with the week's milestone. |
| Wednesday | Drop-in social call → run by a previous-cohort graduate. Optional, warm, low-pressure. |
| Thursday | Portfolio Coaching → the session with the PD. The spine. Case-by-case progress, and the present-and-debate beat. |
| Friday | Next week's content unlocks on the platform → ready for the weekend, discussed live the following Monday and Thursday. |
Three weeks where we deliberately leave the cohort alone
- The Consolidation Week (4) → consolidate the fast Module 1 output before the apex. Relief, but structured.
- The Rehearsal Week (9) → the busiest of the three → build and rehearse for the Roundtable. A sprint disguised as a pause.
- The Build Week (14) → heads-down production of the finished portfolio. The quietest week socially, the busiest creatively → self-directed, because by now they can run their own week.
Most online courses brag about contact hours. We brag about the room we give you → three named weeks where the teaching steps back and the portfolio gets built.
The two-thirds-mark high point
A senior room, while there's still time to act on what it tells you.
At week 10, the cohort presents their portfolio direction to a small group of senior practitioners who give real, direct, generous feedback → a conversation, not a verdict. It sits at the two-thirds mark on purpose → an early, memorable crescendo that pulls the cohort through the mid-course dip, keeps everyone working at standard, and lands real industry feedback more than a month before the portfolio is due. Members skew Scandinavian in spirit → egalitarian, direct but generous → with a strong international presence for the productive tension. The written feedback is the participant's to keep, and theirs to share or not.
Updated for the work that's actually changing
Why this is Berghs Advanced for now.
AI as proof, not curriculum.
AI lives inside the cases → every case is checked against a few simple angles (was AI used in the thinking and the making, is the human judgment visible, can you explain it plainly). It's the framework behind the feedback, never a module on the timetable. The line we hold → Berghs Advanced falls apart the moment it becomes a skills course.
A T-shaped portfolio.
The industry is moving fast toward T-shaped people → broad enough to collaborate with anyone, deep enough in one thing to be the person you call. The proof of a T-shaped person is a T-shaped portfolio, and that's what fifteen weeks here builds.
First we learn, then we build the assets
A pilot-then-scale plan, not a leap.
The experiment → the first run is all live, and its job is learning, not efficiency. We battle-test what lands and record nothing until it's proven.
The recorded layer → flipped content, podwalks (the audio you put in your ears on a walk), and a public Berghs Advanced Online podcast that earns its own audience and recruits the next cohort. Clean first, assets second.
And beyond → a hybrid future. Once the recorded layer exists, the same spine can extend into an optional hybrid product → a few days of city intensive bolted onto the online course for those who want the immersion → 🇩🇪 Berlin · 🇳🇱 Amsterdam · 🇨🇭 Zürich. Always additive, never load-bearing → the online experience stays complete on its own.
Build a portfolio with real gravity.
